Would you like to try wines from around the world with your friends and colleagues? Would you like to learn about how wine is produced, distributed and regulated? If you said yes to either of those questions, you should join the Society of Wine & Jurisprudence! Membership is open to all students and friends of students at Cornell Law School. Being an associate of the SWJ is a great way to broaden your wine horizons while meeting great people and having a tremendous amount of fun. Question: Is there any cost to being an associate of the Society of Wine & Jurisprudence?
Answer: No, there is no membership fee.
Question: What are the benefits of being an associate?
Answer: Being an associate entitles you to (1) vote and run in our executive board elections, (2) priority in attending most SWJ events (no need to RSVP), (3) an associate listing on our member page, and (4) a certificate proving that you’re an associate.
Question: Are there any requirements for becoming an associate?
Answer: Yes, in order to qualify for associate status, you must (1) be a student or friend of a student at Cornell Law School and (2) have attended at least three official SWJ events.
Question: I can’t make it to three events. Is there another way to meet the requirement?
Answer: Yes, writing a blog post also counts towards your event attendance.
Question: I’ve attended three events. Why haven’t I received an offer?
